Say NO to OTC Medication Post Workout

Many people use OTC pain killers to soothe aches and pains caused by over-zealous workouts, headaches, period pains etc.  Research from the University of Montreal found nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, (NSAID’s), including common painkillers such as ibuprofen, are linked to a heightened risk of heart attack, especially if the dosage is high. In fact, they found within the first month of taking a high dosage, the risk could double. Rather than relying on painkillers, take a cold shower immediately after your workout, ice sore muscles and tell your significant other id they want a partner that is heart healthy it’s massage time!
